I do not believe it was completly disassembled.No clear coat and decals were done at the time.New tires were installed, fork seals and dust covers.He did not not complete the bike, because the engine sounded really bad (pistons problem). I removed the top end and rebuilt it.

     THIS BIKE ONLY HAS 1773  MILES ON IT ,This bike has been sitting for 20 years ,it was all cleaned out before it went into storage. The engine does turn over with kick start and when we hooked up a battery to the electric start the starter engaged.  The lights came on when we hooked up the battery.   This bike did not start  has no spark,could be points and condenser.  The tires hold air ,it does have a dent in the tank ,the seat has a couple rips in it ,but it is all original and as far as i can tell it's all there.  This would be a nice restoration for some one to do .  You can look at the pictures if you need more let me know.  I'm selling this for my son also, he doesnt want this sitting around taking up room . I have told everthing to the best of my knowledge ,so ask questions ,this bike is sold as is with no warranty.   This bike does have a clear title.

     1976 TY 175 yamaha with many new and modified parts.Model # 525, Frame # 000881,Motor # 000881.It is an early first year model.They made a bunch of them back in the day and you could still find a new in crate one back n the 80's.Considered to be  the best power to weight & balance trials bike  by many vintage riders.Most new parts and mods were from B&J Racing and those guys know there stuff.I built this as a rider in Ahrma vintage trials.I rode in 2 or 3 and then messed up my knee and it has sat in the garage for the last 6 yrs or so.I fire it up and ride it around the yard every year to keep everything lubed up.This is not a show pony and was built for serious riding.I have owned both the ty250 and this 175 and it is much more fun ride than the 250.Less that 20 hours on this bike since the resto.  It has the following new parts or modifications: Front and rear universal trials plastic fenders.Sammy miller chrome front fork brace.B&J front number plate,Solid aluminum trials handle bars,Renthal grips,Adjust on the fly MSR clutch and front brake assemblies,New clutch,throttle and from brake cables.New seals,wipers, fork mods and air fork caps.New domino throttle.New front and rear brake shoes.    Motor has been bored 1st over with a new piston kit by b&j.Sammy Miller chrome head pipe,Boysden reeds and reed mod by b&j.

    Rare 1984 Yamaha RD 500 Two Stroke.  This RD is in great running order. It starts first kick. The mid fairing on both sides have been "modified" with aluminum to hold them tight(see pictures- no idea why you would do that to a rare bike), and the lower fairing piece on the left side is wrinkled, with the paint peeled off, from gas sitting in it for a long period of time.

    Here is a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 550 with 17,973 miles on it,I have a Title for the bike but theres a lean on it and the seller paid off the lean but the lean release card is lost,i purchased the bike from a party who purchased the bike with a lean on the title and the seller said the seller who sold it to him never sent the lean release to him because he lost it and said he would go to the bank and get another one but didnt,some banks or credit unions will write one up if a party walks in with title in hand but some wont i havent tried it with this one,bike has been sitting in a garage for two years it fired today when i sprayed starting fluid in the airbox but didnt start and had to use a charger on the battery that needs to be replaced,carbs probably need cleaning before it will run,has spark,tank is clean inside,brakes work,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifted threw the gears with my hand,throttle and choke move freely,the lock for the seat is missing,selling as is although i dont see anything wrong with the bike,buyer pays shipping and finds there own shipper if one is needed not sure there prices i can meet them at my door and i dont really have the room to store the bike after the auction ends,paypal accepted as payment if your not local,auction may end early because a watcher on ebay might want to purchase the bike before the auction ends,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding Carl in forest lake minnesota 55025.

Has what look like F1 slip-ons - they might not be but they do sound nice, just a little louder than stock.

The California Air Resources Board today released executive orders on two Yamaha models: the FJ09FCGY and FJ09FCR. Both to be based on the current FZ-09 engine and chassis (MT-09 in Europe). In March of this year, MO’s resident sleuth, Dennis Chung, revealed Yamaha filed a trademark application for the FJ09 name.

Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

Yamaha Files Patents for Leaning Three-Wheeled Electric Scooter

Yamaha has filed a number of patents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office for an electric three-wheeled scooter. Unlike the Yamaha Tricity which has two wheels at the front and a third wheel at the rear, the patents are for a scooter with two rear wheels, each driven by an electric hub motor.

2015 Yamaha XC155 Scooter Gets CARB Approval

The Honda PCX150 may be getting some new competition, as  the California Air Resource Board granted an executive order certifying the 155cc Yamaha XC155 scooter. Available in Asian markets last August under the names Majesty S and SMax. Sporting a fuel-injected 155cc liquid-cooled four-valve Single, the XC155 inherits the styling of larger Yamaha scooters including the 395cc Majesty that was part of the company’s U.S.
