Yamaha Other description

I have a 1997 Yamaha Vmax for sale. Asking $4750 OBO. It currently has 19k miles. It is very fast. NOT a beginner bike. This bike is 1 you better buckle up for. A true wolf in sheep's clothing. It is a comfortable cruiser with a severe anger management issue. It has Supertrap exhaust and Stage one carb kit, drag bars, drilled rotors. Newer tires front and back. The rims were originally black. They were stripped and polished. Hi way foot pegs to keep you comfortable on long rides. This bike has been gone thru. Several new parts. Fuel pump, intake boots(all) have been changed. New battery and chrome reservoir covers. It is very fast and loud. The Yamaha Vmax has been out since 1985 and has always been the muscle bike to have. It was named fastest production bike for many years. It has 1200cc's of pure power. If you aren't familiar with these bikes, you should look them up. Very fast, very comfortable and VERY affordable considering the ridiculous amount of bike for the money.Clean AZ title in my name. Call, email or text Al for more details. 602.999.XXXXNo test rides without money in hand. MY HAND.. Serious buyers only. MAY CONSIDER TRADES. SERIOUS OFFERS WITH PICS ONLY. No services. No Boats. Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.

Yamaha Reveals PES1 and PED1 Electric Prototypes

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Yamaha is bringing two new electric motorcycle prototypes to the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show: the PES1 streetbike and the PED1 dirt bike. The nomenclature is a combination of the initials for Passion, Electric and Street for the street version and Dirt for the off-road model. Both prototypes are equipped with DC brushless electric motors powered by lithium-ion batteries.

Simon and Leo

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
