This is a street legal electric race motorcycle. Accelerating up to 100MPH+ and the battery fully charges in as little as 3.9 hours (with optional Level two 240 volt charging system - sold separately) or in 8.9 hours with the included level one 110 volt charging system.  The battery comes with a 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.

Regenerative Braking: When you let off the throttle, the motor still moves, the wheels still turn, and the energy in the drivetrain is transferred back into the battery system.The dual disc Brembo® brakes go from 30-0 MPH in 45 feet for total control.

Adjustable suspension: Tune the inverted 43mm front forks and the rear suspension to your riding style.

Ben Spies Retires from Motorcycle Racing

Ben Spies announced his retirement from motorcycle racing, as injuries cut short a once promising career for the American. Spies retires with a World Superbike title in his first and only season in the series, and three AMA Superbike Championships. “I want to thank everyone from racing organizations, factories, teams and all my fans for helping me and supporting me throughout my career,” says Spies.

Nancy Sabater Named 2011 AMA Motorcyclist of the Year

The American Motorcyclist Association has named activist Nancy Sabater its 2011 Motorcyclist of the Year, recognizing her efforts in helping get the “lead law” ban on youth motorcycles overturned. Sabater helped organize the May 26 AMA Family Capitol Hill Climb which brought families to Washington D.C. to lobby in favor of overturning the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act’s ban on youth motorcycles containing trace amounts of lead.

Mission Motorcycles To Produce Street-Legal Electric Sportbike, Mission RS

Mission Motorcycles’ president Mark Seeger revealed today the company will produce a limited number of the Mission RS, a street-legal version of the Mission R, which won the 2011 TTXGP race at Laguna Seca by 40 seconds. In fact only 40 RS’ will be built, in commemoration of the historic victory. Mission Motorcycles is the result of a partnership between Mission Motors, developer of the record-setting prototype, and Mark Seeger, known for creating successful, innovation-focused businesses.
