The Michael Dunlop Show continues with the 24-year-old Northern Irish racer winning his fourth race of the 2013 Isle of Man TT. His latest triumph was a victory in the second Monster Energy Supersport race, making Dunlop just the third rider to ever record four wins in a single TT week. Like his win in the Royal London 360 Superstock race, Dunlop ran most of the race in second place before setting a blazing final lap time for a come-from-behind win.

Back in March, we broke the story of a new variant on the Triumph America for 2014 that had received an executive order from the California Air Resources Board. The CARB document, dated March 14, identified the new model as the Triumph America Horizon. Based on the name and Triumph’s current product offerings, we inferred the new model would be a new touring variant of the 865cc America cruiser.

The 2014 Triumph Thunderbird LT adds a windscreen, additional lighting, removable leather saddlebags and a passenger backrest to the Thunderbird platform to provide light touring duties. The ergonomics are also different, with a new seat design that offers more lumbar support.
