Triumph Tiger description

I've had this bike from new..as you can see it's my Tourer..I lived in CA and travelled on epic camp trips from Mexico to Canada. Now I've relocated to TX & have a young family and don't need this style of bike (I have others for buzzing around town and day trips).

Condition excellent, never dropped or been down.

The good ..
It's in lovely condition, all services , tires are good, I look after my bikes.
The color scheme is the limited edition SE (matte black and silver) these are rare, but don't buy it for the rarity..buy it cos it looks awesome ! I get comments on this everywhere she goes.
Extras like the side cases and the rear case make traveling a breeze..but when the bags come off she still looks sleek and pretty. this really is a dual purpose bike.
Reliable.. Since the day I've bought her I've not had one ounce of trouble, no break downs, nothing..nothing broke, nothing to buy..service and gas only !
Extras : center stand, 12v dc accessory plug, extended mirror stems, extended fairing glass (I'm 6'02" this keeps the wind off my helmet), quick release top box (Pelican) and sleek Givi rack, anti slip pillion cover, spare luggage cases, inner liners for those cases so you can grab and go at the hotel. HID Driving lights (these are wicked bright yet tiny, mounted unobtrusively under the fairing).
Love the ABS , didnt think I would but it's saved my ass .

The 'bad'..
She got a couple of light scuffs on the engine casing and on one part of the lower fairing  (can barely see them, they don't show in photos) from when I had her shipped to a job I was working on the East coast. The transport company paid for all the replacement parts..but I never put them on (because the damage was so light and barely noticeable, and I thought..well if I DO actually drop her one day , then I'll swap the parts then..so I'll ship all those separately to your address free of charge when you buy) .. Big box about 3' square :-) all new all wrapped. There's a dent in the tank that only shows in certain light..and when within 1' of the bike .. I dropped my phone on her..
I mention these cosmetic flaws so there's no surprises but she's a 9/10 bike and these defects cannot be seen stood 4' away.. She's lovely, but if you want perfection, youll have to buy New to get better than this one :-)

That's about all..she's got a recent new battery, I did oils change, filters and key maintenance at 16,000 & she's ready to go.
Make my GF a happy woman and steal her from me.

She's priced less than half way between the retail and trade in price in the Blue Book. So you get a nearly trade in price with all the extras and the SE ABS model.

I'll help you ship it, i.e. Will be available to load it ..I have used Uship in the past ..they are good. But you have to arrange and pay for that.

I want $500 in PayPal with 48 hrs.
The balance within 1 week, also via PayPal.
I will store it while you arrange shipping for free, it's in my garage, under cover, it's safe. However, unless you arrange otherwise prior, I'd like it out within 3 weeks of sale or I'll levy a daily charge of $15 as an incentive for you :-) fair ?

California Title, free and clear in my hand, bike is registered and all up to date.

Ok for local pick up ..Fort Worth TX.

If you don't know how to ship and want help , reach out..I've sold bikes on here a couple of times and can suggest and help.

On Oct-07-16 at 11:58:36 PDT, seller added the following information:

I added extra pics of any cosmetic damage you can see..I have new parts to replace the body fairings and the engine cover with scratches shown ..so you can replace those if you wish, I chose not to, in case I ever dropped the bike and did Real damage :-)

I don't have a spare new gas tank so you have to live with that little ding, but it only shows if you get the light just right, it was hard to photograph.

I've sold bikes ,cars and RV's on EBay over the years and I describe my items honestly so there's no surprises. It's why I have 100% positive feedback from ALL my transactions.

Craig Vetter To Headline AMA Hall Of Fame Breakfast At Daytona, March 14

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

AMA Hall of Fame member Craig Vetter will be the featured guest at its annual AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Breakfast at Daytona, on Friday, March 14, at 7:00 a.m., at the Daytona 500 Club on the infield at Daytona International Speedway.  “Craig Vetter’s impact is far-reaching, starting with the design of the iconic Windjammer fairings of the 1970s, continuing with motorcycle designs like the Triumph X-75 Hurricane and the limited-edition ‘Mystery Ship,’ and enduring more recently with a resurrected series of motorcycle fuel economy runs that push the boundaries of everyday streamlining,” said Jeff Heininger, chairman of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the Hall of Fame. “We’re proud to host motorcycling’s design professor emeritus for this year’s Breakfast at Daytona.” Taking place during 2014 Daytona Bike Week, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Breakfast at Daytona fundraiser will feature a live interview with Vetter on stage, an audience Q&A period and an autograph session with Vetter and other Hall of Famers in attendance. The event is open to the public, and tickets are available now at www.motorcyclemuseum.org.

Looking after number 1

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.

2015 Triumph 250 Preview

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

With all the new motorcycles Triumph presented earlier this month at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, we were hoping to see the company’s new 250cc models. Unfortunately, the new small-displacement Triumph models (which made our list of Top 10 Motorcycles to Watch For at EICMA) were not yet ready to be revealed, though Triumph did offer us a glimpse of what to expect, with a sketch of its 250 sportbike. At Milan, the company referred to the sportbike as “Triumph’s New 250″, though it will get a proper name when it’s officially, presented as a 2015 model, likely at next year’s EICMA show or at Intermot in Cologne, Germany.
