Tue, 16 Feb 2010JAPANESE TUNING house Yoshimura has released a series of EEC-approved Slip-On exhausts suitable for the Suzuki Bandit GSF1250SA and the new fully-faired Suzuki GSX1250FA.At over 3kgs lighter than the OE Suzuki item, each Yoshimura Slip-On comes with the pipe work to mount to the standard front section plus all parts (including muffler clamp) required for installation. The EEC-approved silencer features two dB-killer baffles, one in the link pipe, one in the can and when both are removed power and torque are increased over stock, claim Yoshimura. Chris Vermeulen to Replace Colin Edwards at Le Mans
Wed, 09 May 2012NGM Forward Racing has named veteran MotoGP racer Chris Vermeulen the substitute rider for the injured Colin Edwards at the May 20 French Grand Prix at Le Mans. Vermeulen will ride the team’s BMW-powered Suter Claiming Rule machine. Vermeulen raced four full seasons in MotoGP from 2006-2009, all with the Rizla Suzuki team.
Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
