Honda XR description
This is a 2004, the last year this fantastic bike was made. By 2004, all the minor bugs of the early ones (1996-1998 ) were worked out. This includes larger counter shaft, kick shaft, etc.
Our best estimate is that the bike has approximately 10 hours on it. This is one of those dreamed-about classic bikes from a time capsule. Although I never rode the bike, I jumped through all the hoops to obtain a street legal title, same as a street bike or dual-sport. It has the original tires so it would need DOT tires before riding on the street (turn signals not required in Colorado). Probably also would need a mirror and horn, depending on your state. It has the hydraulic brake light actuator installed (see photo). Tank decal is perfect on left side, has slight bubbling and tear on right side. The original rear tire still has the shallow center groove very visible. Front tire original and looks like new. The chain slider looks nearly new (see photos). Bike has some minor marks from being ridden a couple of times before the previous owner decided it was too big. Bike is completely stock except for being jetted for 8000'. I have an identical 04 XR400R that I ride and bought this one because is was such a rare specimen. It is a practically new example of Colorado's most reliable trail bike. It starts very easy and runs like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. This is a bike you can ride for ten years before it needs more than an oil change. Nice XR400's a sought after and are being used up. Very few of these in captivity any more. Only reason for selling is I have another XR400 with more hours on it but which will last me a lifetime. Buyer pays all shipping but I will deliver to the shipper to save cost. |

2014 AMA Supercross – St. Louis Results
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Don’t look now, but James Stewart is the hottest rider in the AMA Supercross Championship. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider won his third consecutive race and series-leading fifth victory of the season. But with Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto holding a comfortable lead with four rounds remaining, Stewart’s hot streak may be too little too late.
