Honda VTX description

You have to experience the massive power the VTX1800 puts out, you will be impressed! Highlites include a low-slung dragster inspired seating position, a huge chrome 2-into-1 exhaust, performance-influenced fender design, cast aluminum wheels, modern flangeless-style fuel tank with a built in instrument cluster and a truck load of chrome!

This beautiful 2006 VTX1800C was only ridden 8,642 miles which is only 1,235 miles a year! The paint and chrome on this Honda are as close to perfect as you can get. The previous owner took very good care of this bike and it shows. The seat is in great shape and free from any defects at all. We just installed a brand new front tire and performed a fresh oil change so this bike is ready to go now. This VTX runs, rides, shifts and looks awesome and is waiting on you today! Call us at 800-807-9910 with any questions or to get a great deal on this sweet ride! Check our feedback and bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Honda has patented its development in the field of interactive technologies that prevent accidents, following BMW. The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.

Ex-racer Ben Bostrum might have stopped competing on motorcycles, but he hasn't given up his passion for two wheels. He's teamed up with motorsports promoter M1 to create Ben Bostrom Events, a company that plans to host world-class cycling and running races across the US. According to a press release, the high-intensity events will feature an 'entertainment-filled atmosphere', combining many of the familiar elements found at other MOB (mud, obstacles, beer) racing events.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
