The Honda CB550 was a 544 cc (33.2 cu in) four-cylinder standard motorcycle made from 1974 to 1978 and was replaced in 1979 by the Honda CB650. This sale is for a 1974 Honda CB550E. Very difficult to find the E style listed anywhere. All the parts are original as far as I can verify. The bike was stored in a barn for the last 10 years. Up for grabs is a 2004 Honda ST1300 that's had plenty of use but runs beautifully. These bikes have nice features such as electronic windshield and saddlebags as well as several extras including a Sargent seat, GI Pro Gear Indicator, Bar Risers with Ram ball and powerlet, MCL fork brace, Oxford heated grips and more. I'm the second owner of the bike and the previous owner took care of the bike as well. However, it has over 100,000 miles and has hit lots of bugs and what-not so there are several scratches and dings as expected from a bike with this many miles. This 45 year old Honda has a three speed transmission with a automatic clutch. As you can see from the pictures, it has no dents, there are some scratches and some paint chips, but it still looks great. The chrome is clean and brilliant. My 4 grandsons rode this often and it is still super smooth, strong, quick, and easy to start. It runs and rides like a new one and will cruise down the road withmy 200 pound but on it at 35-40 miles per hour all day long and get 110 miles per gallon doing it! It shifts thru all 3 gears up and down effortlessly and stops on a dime. This is a "NOEXCUSES NO SURPRISES PASSPORT". Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
American Honda Signs Cole Seely To Factory Team

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

Cal Crutchlow Leaves Ducati for LCR Honda

Honda Reports Q1 2014-2015 Sales Results
Tue, 29 Jul 2014Honda reported sales of 4.137 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2014. That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much. But then you remember that 2.0% still represents an additional 83,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), such is the scale involved in a company like Honda.
