Intriguing news continues to flow from officially-published patent and trademark documents, with the unearthing of a patent revealing appears to be the engine of the long-awaited MotoGP-derived Honda V-4 superbike. A new V-4 based on Honda’s championship-winning RC-V prototype racebike has long been the stuff of dreams, made real with the 2012 announcement from Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito confirming the new production superbike was in the works. Honda released their original C100 Super Cub way back in 1958 when other bikes at the time proved to be notoriously unreliable and difficult to ride. Since then, they have sold over 27 million C90s, with the step-through framed bike proving to be easy to ride and even easier to maintain. Looking like it's come straight from the film WALL-E, the new UNI-CUB might have two wheels but any similarity with a Honda C90 ends there.

2014 Honda CBR300R Announced for CIMAMotor Show

Honda announced it will present a new CBR300R sportbike at the Oct. 17-20 China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) in Chongqing, China. A new global model, the CBR300R will be produced in Thailand, likely using the same production lines for its predecessor the CBR250R which it will likely replace in most markets.
