Primarily a Honda CBR F3. Stripped down to the frame and swing arm. Cut about 15lbs of mounts off, and then had both powder coated. The engine comes from a F2. Custom wire harness. THERE ARE NO GUAGES. Removed the muffler and wrapped the headers - just a chrome tip at the end of the headers. If you want a muffler, I have a twin brothers I will include. Lots of little upgrades all over. Carbs professionally rejetted and tuned. New sprocket gearing for acceleration. Rear plastics have a few cracks. Tank and wheels could use paint. Tittle is clean and based off the frame. Battery, tires, and everything in good condition. 100% roadworthy and fun to ride. Local pickup only from 79934 zip code. If you want to ship it, that is buyers responsibility. For medical reasons, I can't help you load it. $500 deposit is due with 24 hours of auction end. Intermot 2012: Honda CRF450 Rally Unveiled
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.
