Chrome 4-into-2 exhaust in good condition & polishes very nicely Front fender has slight ding hidden under the forks (chrome polishes very nicely, though) Tank was painted black and has a few chips were the original orange flake is showing. Slight surface rust on the spokes that I will try to polish up if I have time. All in all, runs and drives absolutely perfect, charging system, all lights and buttons fully functional. Only 1,897 original miles on the original speedo, but I'm not certain if that's correct. It was my uncle's, but he rarely rode it, so it sat forever before I got it. I took it down to the frame and went to town with replacement parts and all the above. I'm only selling because I can't ride anymore, and don't want it to sit forever again. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.
Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.
