Custom blue with silver flames paint. 16" apehangers (narrowed to match narrow glide forks) new tach / speedo. Owner fabricated custom exhaust & luggage rack. Forward controls, custom pegs, hand grips, clutch / brake levers. FXR wide tire kit with 150mm rear tire. New Barnett clutch in new clutch basket / shell. New Altenator, regulator, starter. S & S carb on Riveria forward swept intake. Progressive lowered shocks, all braided steel lines, hoses, cables. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
