Cruiser This is 1 of 1,000 custom painted bikes from Harley. The color is called Sunset Fade. The bike has thousands of dollars of extras on it including solid rear rim and solid 5 spoke front rim. The saddle bags are quick detachable Iron Bags. It has a Mustang seat with removable and adjustable driver backrest, seat is 2 piece driver and passenger. Forward controls are extended 3ins. The owner is 5 ft 11in and it fits perfectly. The owner has all of the parts to put forward controls back to stock which will go with bike if they are too long for buyer. There are Helibar handlebars on it which are fully adjustable to be moved to driver comfort. The owner has put over 5000 dollars into the motor and has paper work with everything that was done to it with Dyno records. The bike was Dyno tested with 96HP and 101 pounds of torque and was done by MPI choppers in Hutchinson, MN. The 1st work was done in 2006 at 15,000 mis and the rest was done in 2007 at 20,zero miles and had top end all rebuilt with ported and polished heads and bigger valves. The owner has 3 other seats and planning on giving at least 2 with the bike. It has no leaks, never been dropped and has a new rear tire. Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011

U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
