Canadian company Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has an ongoing relationship with the National Hockey League (NHL), and it’s latest iteration has sports legends telling how much they like riding Can-Am Spyders. An earlier video had NASCAR racer Danica Patrick riding the Spyder around Charlotte Motor Speedway. Well, not BRP has tapped six-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Messier to use his own special technique to reach out to potential riders.

Irish-American actor John Cusack recently completed a tour of Ireland on a Can-Am Spyder roadster. The star of such films as Runaway Jury, High Fidelity and Grosse Point Blank was in Ireland for his grandmother’s 80th birthday. After the celebrations, Cusack hopped on his Spyder and toured Ireland with his family, visiting places such as Dublin, Kenmare and Galway.

Charles Bombardier, creator of the highly controversial Can-Am Spyder and grandson of the man who invented the snowmobile, thinks he has an idea to make trikes cool. It’s a tall order, considering most motorcycling circles banish three-wheelers as some kind of second class device, not worthy of mingling with true two wheelers. While Bombardier’s Trailtrike still has two wheels in front and one in back, he tells Popular Science the difference is that the Trailtrike can be ridden both on- and off-road.
