2000 Buell Lightning X1/S1, This bike is in excellent shape. Especially for the vintage. Shows only minor normal wear for its age. 11,967 miles. No leaks, no smoke, runs like a top. The following has been done or added within the last 500 miles: Fresh engine oil and filter (Castrol RS 20/50 full synthetic). Fresh primary lube. New K&N air filter. Supertrapp muffler installed. New ProGrip grips. New golf club mirrors. Converted to XB rocker covers and breathers. New NGK plugs and Accel 8.8mm wires. New Lyndall Gold brake pads front and rear. The Pirelli Diablos are in great shape (front is like new, rear is 90%). Also included are the original muffler (it has been cored), another aluminum seat frame (stripped for polishing), and the matching red belly fairing and mounting hardware (has some rock chips on the front lip from the front tire -I like the bike without it installed). RoboCop Remake Has RoboCop Riding A Motorcycle
Mon, 15 Oct 2012The semi-futuristic 1987 film, “RoboCop,” starring actor Peter Weller, told the tale of fatally injured Detroit cop effectively resurrected to life, but in the form of mostly metal, cyborg-like being. RoboCop was the ultimate crime-fighting tool, and the public loved the premise of the movie to the tune of two sequels, lots of merchandising and even a short-lived television series. “RoboCop” has been resurrected again, the film that is, and is currently shooting in Toronto according to the Daily Mail. And as you can see by these images from the Daily Mail, RoboCop is now fighting crime on two wheels.
2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report
Mon, 22 Jul 2013The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.
Mac Motorcycles
Thu, 28 May 2009British motorcycle design studio Xenophya Design and product designer Ellis Pitt have teamed up to produce a new company, Mac Motorcycles. Based out of Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire, England, Mac Motorcycles will produce a line of bikes powered by Buell’s air-cooled single cylinder 492cc engines used in the Blast, with a tubular backbone frame. On the company’s website, Pitt describes its bikes as being simple to maintain, include references and details from choppers and bobbers and feature “Harley posture, flat-track manners, Ducati handling”.
