Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.

Parts Unlimited To Be EBR OEM Parts Distributor

Erik Buell Racing (EBR) announced today that it has selected Parts Unlimited of Janesville, Wis, as its distribution partner for all EBR spare parts for North America. Under the agreement, Parts Unlimited will stock EBR parts and handle order processing and fulfillment for EBR’s dealer network. “We selected Parts Unlimited as our distribution partner because of their highly automated operations, strategically-located warehouses and existing relationships with so many of our dealers. 2015 EBR 1190SX Revealed

Erik Buell Racing launches its next salvo to the sportbike market with the 1190SX streetfighter. The 1190SX borrows heavily from EBR’s 1190RX superbike contender that MO’s Troy Siahaan is scheduled to test today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Although no specs have been released, the SX appears to use most of the RX’s hardware: 1190cc V-Twin engine; aluminum fuel-carrying frame; massive 386mm single-disc front brake.
