BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
I am listing my personal BMW R1200GS Adventure. I have taken supreme care of this bike, I had planned on getting more into the solo ride/camping scene and found myself with not enough vacation time (and away from the wife time) to justify the beefy off road prowess of the R1200 GSA. My wife also wishes to ride more touring so we are looking at some new bikes that fit the bill for the both of us to have our own bikes. There truly is nothing I can even begin to imagine is wrong with the bike. Just a couple weeks and less than 200 miles ago I had the first major service done, and an oil change and I believe the heidenau K60's have no more than 1,500 miles (pretty sure) and people have reported 8k+ (again third party) So this bike is ready for the road/trail straight away. I have always had the bike serviced (even the tires) at BMW motorcycles of Riverside. The bike does have warranty until august, I know its not long but you can buy with confidence that if anything goes wrong right away you can take it in and have it taken care of. I have not done a lot to the bike that I had planned, however it did some simple things that made ride that much more enjoyable. I installed a Booster Plug http://www.boosterplug.com/shop/boosterplug-bmw-r1200gs-181p.html We have a close relationship with BMW motorcycles of Riverside so we can assist with financing including through BMW financial Services. Please contact upon winning ASAP so we can sort out the logistics or payment and delivery as well. We will gladly deliver (I will ride it to you) within 250 miles. I am happy to make myself available for the shipper of your choice. However I will not be crating the bike or making other arrangements for shipping. This bike is being sold as is, and no warranty other than the existing factory warranty is expressed or implied. Below are the published specs for the bike (the technical stuff)

BMW Reports Q2 2013 Results – 15.5% Increase Produces Record Quarter
Thu, 01 Aug 2013BMW reported a record second quarter with sales of 40,209 motorcycles for the three months ended June 30, 2013. The quarter saw a year-on-year increase of 15.5% from sales of 34,816 motorcycles reported in 2012. For the year to date, BMW has sold 64,941 motorcycles, also a record for first half sales in the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle business (those numbers however do include 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles sold in the first quarter before the brand was acquired by Pierer Industries.) The record half comes in the face of a worldwide decline of 7.1% for motorcycles 500cc and larger over the first six months.
The solution to a pricey GPS mount
Wed, 26 Aug 2009So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.
