This very nice 2011 BMW R1200GS Adventure is equipped with all the features that make the GS Adventure the top dual sport motorcycle in the world, such as armored steel protected brake and clutch hoses, a rugged six-speed Enduro gearbox, black cross-spoke wheels and the extra-large 8.7 gallon gas tank. This GS Adventure is also equipped with BMW's innovative Integral Anti-Lock Braking System (I-ABS), which can be disengaged when riding on those really rough backwoods trails. Also included is the optional Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA), which allows suspension response to be changed on the fly. Heated Grips feel great and the tinted windshield deflects the wind on those cold days. Aluminum valve cover protectors help shield the engine from flying rocks and branches. This Smoke Grey Metallic 2011 R1200GS BMW's includes the super-tough BMW Adventure luggage cases and trunk that provide plenty of carrying capacity and the 1170cc, 110 horsepower twin-cylinder Boxer engine can handle anything you can pack into them.

BMW Reports Q1 2013 Results

BMW reported worldwide sales of 24,732 motorcycles over the first three months of 2013, a slight increase from the 24,373 motorcycles sold in the same quarter in 2012. These figures include sales of 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles before BMW sold the company to KTM boss Stefan Pierer. Sales revenue from BMW Motorrad however was down 2.7% to 436 million euros (US$569.2 million) over the quarter from 448 million euros last year.

2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure Revealed

BMW has updated its R1200GS Adventure for 2014, giving it similar updates introduced on the R1200GS including the liquid-cooled 1170cc boxer engine. The more off-road capable version of the GS now has more power than ever before, as well as the option of coming with BMW’s semi-active suspension. Click here for more photos of the 2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure The new engine has the same peak output as the base GS, claiming 123 hp peak output at 7750 rpm, an upgrade over the previous air-cooled engine’s claims of 110 hp.

BMW K1600GT Named International Bike of the Year 2011

The BMW K1600GT has been voted International Bike of the Year 2011 by a panel of motorcycle magazine journalists representing 25 publications from around the world. The six-cylinder BMW K1600GT received a score of 41 points from the jury to top all contenders. Second place went to the Ducati Diavel at 32 points.
