1998 BMW K-Series (1998)
Purchased from Dealer in 2010 at 12,000 miles, second owner. Rode it frequently for two years than suffered an injury that prevent riding for two years. Occasionally rode in 2014 and 2015, but decided to sell this Summer. Still runs smooth and has great acceleration and handling. Not recommended for a first time rider. Ideal for short to medium trips not recommend for cross country bike tours, my personnel experience was that my legs would fell cramped after a few hours on the bike. Features: Stock Saddle bags included with bike. Only modification to bike is leather pad on tank to prevent scratching from jacket zipper. BEAUTIFUL Black 2008 K1200S BMW NO RESERVE NO DETRACTIONS MANY UPGRADES "Wilbers Racing Suspension" shocks (rear is easily externally adjustable by knob as shown in pics) these remote reservoir high end shocks are a big upgrade to the overall feel of this bike and is rare but nice to see the money being spent on the right things here. Suspension upgrades were close to $2k! BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
