After 6 years and 68,000 miles in which it endeared itself to me so much I'll say it's the best bike I've ridden. As time change and our riding changes so does our choice in bikes, that is why I'm selling her and going on to the Bmw K1600gtl. Sport days maybe over but sport riding can go on. She has newer Michelin Road Pilot 4 tires with 1500 miles, clutch was replaced at 60k, clutch master and slave cyl also replaced. All recall items addressed at dealership along with normal services. I have both side bag covers that are pictured (full and street) with top case. Here some of her high lights and thought from other mag reviews. Speed, comfort and freedom are the essence of Gran Turismo and the essence of the BMW K 1300 GT. A simple dash display informs the rider whether it's set for any combination of solo, passenger and luggage, and with those set you can then choose between normal, sport and comfort options – all from one button, changing damping, spring preload and spring rate settings. It’s pretty interesting to see the way a Evo and Twin Cam V twin Harley Davidson engine works. He also has up the crazy BMW flat twin R100 motorcycle engine which seems more complicated then an engine should be!
2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.

Wed, 26 Oct 2011As a motorcyclist I’ve made it my duty to stop and lend assistance any time I see a fellow rider that looks like they’re in need, a sort of paying it forward mentality for the many times I found myself in need of a hand. In most instances the rider stopped on the road’s edge had pulled to the side temporarily to resolve an innocuous issue, but occasionally a rider genuinely needed my help. In either case the riders were grateful that a fellow motorcyclist was checking up on them.
