2007 Aprilia Rxv 550, Don't pass up this chance to own this rare Italian exotic dirt motorcycle. The RXV (imported only in 07-09.), is one of the most powerful enduro machines every made. With 70bhp from its 550 V-twin power plant, there are few bikes out there that can match its performance. Weighing in at 268lb dry, its within 10lbs of the more mundane enduros like a KTM 500, 525, 530 EXC, or Yamaha WR450 but with significantly more power. This bike is also plated and is a blast to ride on the road, a must for hooking together interrupted sections of dirt. Best of all, this bike is fuel injected, no more re-jetting, or adjusting needles as you ride from the valley floor to the top of the highest western peaks (Ive ridden up to 11,000 with flawless fueling). And the RXV features electric start (the happy button is wonderful). This bike is expertly setup for enduro and is in need of nothing. WSBK 2013: Portimao Race Report
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty split a pair of victories at Portugal’s Portimao circuit while Sylvain Guintoli took advantage of some misfortune to his championship rivals to increase his lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings. Guintoli has been leading or sharing the lead in the championship since winning the first race of Round 1 in Australia, but amazingly continues to lead despite having just that single victory after six rounds. The Aprilia rider has accomplished this through his consistency (Guintoli leads all racers with nine podium finishes in 12 races) and ability to finish each race (he’s the only rider in the top seven without a DNF).
