Up for auction is a 1981 Yamaha yz465 I bought this bike 2 months ago with the intension of restoring it but plans have change. The bike is pretty much complete it does not run this is the way I bought the bike and I never did anything with it. I have some parts that go with it they are pictured. I have a Manual, wheel bearings, empty wiseco piston box and small misc parts. The owner before me bought a plastic kit for it, and its supposed to have a new piston in the motor I cant confirm but the box is there and it has very good compression. The rims are straight and the forks have no pitting on the chrome overall the bike is in decent shape for its age. There is no title for this bike. The event is the first of a three-race series that will crown overall champions in two individual race classes: Pro Superbike and Dynojet Pro Sportbike. The Superbike Shootout is a three-race series meant to fill the long void in the AMA Pro Roadracing schedule between round one at Daytona and the second round at Road America.
Hayes Wins 2012 AMA Superbike Championship with Record 14th Win
Tue, 25 Sep 2012Monster Energy Graves Yamaha‘s Josh Hayes has clinched his third consecutive AMA Superbike title with his record 14th win of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The win in the second race of the Miami round was the 31st of Hayes’ career. It followed a rare misstep in Race One which saw Hayes crashing after clipping a curb on the third lap.
