Yamaha V Star description

FOR SALE-2006 YAMAHA V-STAR 1100 "MIDNIGHT CUSTOM". I PURCHASED THIS MOTORCYCLE BRAND NEW FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND HAVE MAINTAINED IT ACCORDING TO THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE. CURRENT MILEAGE IS 13540. I'M SELLING BECAUSE I HARDLY RIDE IT ANYMORE AND COULD USE THE FUNDS FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THIS BIKE HAS LOTS OF EXTRAS INCLUDING BUB "JUG HUGGER" PIPES WITH REMOVABLE BAFFLES, K&N TYPE AIR FILTERS WITH COBRA CARBURETOR JET KIT, DYNA IGNITION MODULE, EXTERNAL OIL FILTER RELOCATION, ALUMINUM LICENSE PLATE FRAME, CLEAR TAIL LIGHT LENS, DRAG BARS WITH INTERNAL WIRE ROUTING, THROTTLE LOCK CRUISE CONTROL, CUSTOM BACKREST, REAR END LOWERING KIT, NEW TIRES, AND MORE. IT ALSO STILL HAS BOTH KEYS AND THE ORIGINAL ON BOARD TOOL KIT.

IT'S ALWAYS BEEN GARAGE KEPT, AND FREQUENTLY WASHED AND WAXED. NEVER HAS IT BEEN LAID DOWN, WRECKED, OR KNOCKED OVER. IT DOES HOWEVER HAVE A DING IN THE TANK FROM AN UNKNOWN CAUSE. (SEE PICTURE) AS FAR AS SERVICE, I DO MY OWN WORK. I ORIGINALLY USED "YAMALUBE" MOTOR OIL SO AS NOT TO VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY, SINCE WARRANTY EXPIRATION I'VE BEEN USING CASTROL "SYNTEC". CARBURETORS HAVE BEEN VACCUM BALANCED ALONG WITH VALVE LASH ADJUSTMENTS AT SPECIFIED INTERVALS. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED LAST YEAR AND THE BIKE HAS NO PROBLEMS MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL.

I DON'T HAVE THE TIME FOR SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS, SO PICK UP ONLY PLEASE.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE MOTORCYCLE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO REPLY WITHIN 24 HOURS. THANKS AGAIN AND GOOD LUCK!

2011 Yamaha Vino Classic Recalled for Drum Brake Issue

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Yamaha is recalling 2011 Vino Classic scooters because of a problem with its brakes. More specifically, the brake shoe linings may separate from the shoe due to a lack of proper adhesion, reducing brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash. The problem can affect both the front and rear drum brakes.

Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.

Japan Needs Your Help

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
