I am selling this 2002 YZF600R with 23404 miles. Bike runs good and is ready to ride. New Michelin tires. New paint on fairings. There is scratching on the crank case cover and left hand mirror. Also a small dent and scratch on muffler. The paint on this bike is excellent! The bike has never been laid down since I have owned it. It runs straight and starts right up, engine sounds good and does not have any valve chatter. I took this bike on trade to get rid of some jet skis that I had. I have ridden the bike a good bit and so has a friend of mine who has numerous motorcycles and he will attest to the quality of this bike. Clear title in hand. Passing Lorenzo at the final corner was the defining moment that is still talked about today, but for me the most incredible and bold pass made by Rossi in those final few laps was out-braking his former Yamaha team-mate around the outside into turn one.
Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
