Yamaha XT description

First of all, please check my feedback and bid with confidence! Secondly, this bike DOES NOT have a title. EBAY unfortunately does not have a selection for "No Title" so I picked the next closest one. This is a clean, low mileage, mostly original example of the famous four stroke Yamaha XT500! This bike ran great a year ago, but it has been sitting for at least that long. It has a new, high end ignition box from England made for this year and model and gets great spark. I had the bike fired up briefly, but for some reason, it won't stay running. I know the carb needs to be gone through. I do have a carb kit that will go with it. I just don't have the time or energy to deal with it. It also has a new air filter. Trust me, a little tinkering and it will be running like new. It is a good XT500 with lots of life left in it.

Wed, 22 Aug 2012

The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.

You. Call. That. Lean

Jean Philippe Ruggia, 1988, Coppice at Donington Park, Sonauto-Yamaha 250. This is elbow lean action. There was a previous blog entry of Ben Spies and his elbow grazing the tarmac onboard the M1 Yamaha, I admit it is impressive but I find myself admiring the horizontal angles that Ruggia submitted his 250 Yamaha to, with the above image taken at Coppice as a prime example.

Pedrosa, Marquez, Bradl Talk About Racing, Motorcycles, And Each Other

In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
