Up for auction is a 1972 Suzuki TS400J "Apache". This the first year for this model. I have just completed a frame-off restoration on it,and it looks great. The frame was powder coated "Trail Performance" and the head and exhaust was "ceramic"coated. The wiring and all nuts and bolts were cleaned and polished. The seat has been recovered and a new chain installed. The carb was cleaned and a new throttle cable installed. "Suzuki" mirrors were found and added on . The paint is new on tank,fenders,and side covers done by "Steve Rhoades Paint". The headlight does work,but only on low beam. The exhaust tip "Stinger" is missing, but I do have a new exhaust gasket and clamp for it. (If anyone has one to sell , let me know! I would gladly purchase it.) The head gasket was also replaced. This bike also has the "Original" tool kit , but no owners manual. I purchased the bike from the second owner who had owned it for 15 years. The buyer is responsible for any pick-up arrangements. Eric Bostrom to Race TTXGP for Brammo at Laguna Seca

Eric Bostrom has signed on to ride the Brammo Empulse RR in the electric motorcycle race at Laguna Seca July 28-29. The race is the final stop on the TTXGP‘s North American series and a joint event with the FIM’s ePower series. The AMA racing veteran will join Steve Atlas to represent Team Icon Brammo at Laguna Seca.

Dropped Suzuki Dealerships Represented Only 2.5% of Retail Sales

American Suzuki raised some eyebrows after news broke yesterday the company was cancelling franchise agreements with numerous dealerships in the U.S. The company was already under close scrutiny after making the bold decision to quit selling cars to focus on powersports when it filed for Chapter 11 in November. Reducing its dealer network appears to go against that idea, at least on the surface.

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.
