Suzuki Marauder description

1999 Suzuki Marauder 800, Very clean bike. No rust. Includes Cobra exhaust, saddle bags, fork bag and passenger back rest. Also have electronic service manual. Good tires, brakes, battery, chain and sprockets. It's a very cool bike. There is a small crack in the top of the headlamp housing (chromed plastic) but it is still operational. One of the cylinders is not putting out full power so it needs to be looked at. I really don't have the time to work on it, but if you don't mind messing around in the garage for a while this is a great bike worthy of many more miles. It's really a simply designed motorcycle and not too bad to work on. $1,500.00 9083034779

Knee-high land-speed record device

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

This mad looking motorcycle is a land speed record device that never turned a wheel in anger. It was built by the infamous Dave Manning in 1968 using a discarded drop tank from a Korean fighter plane. Manning built a space-frame chassis inside the tiny teardrop and also managed to find room for a Suzuki T500 twin cylinder two-stroke motor.

It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.

Another Teaser for New “Middle-class” Suzuki Motorcycle

Tue, 07 Jun 2011

Suzuki has released a another teaser for its upcoming “Middle-class New Motorcycle”. We wrote about the previous teaser last week, speculating the new motorcycle is an updated Suzuki V-Strom, possibly a V-Strom 650 with a retuned version of the Gladius’ engine. A commenter named Steven suggested it might be a V-Strom 1000 instead.
