Royal Enfield bullet description

Hello,

Thanks for checking out my auction!  Up for sale I have a 1999 Royal Enfield.  I purchased this bike 2 years ago with the intention of restoring it, and actually "back dating" it with a hard tail frame, hiding the electrical / modern components, etc etc.. Anyway, I have too many projects one of which is my house - this is one of the items on the list to sell (you'll see I also have an old truck for sale).

So, here are the details; I purchased this bike from Florida, and it has some pitting here and there which would have to be addressed.  The bike DOES RUN, however I haven't started it since last year.  I don't feel like doing it, but it turns over no problem with great compression.  I had a video of it running I'll see if I can dig that up.  It needs a full restoration, but I do believe the mileage is correct.. it looks to me like someone rode this for a while and became frustrated with it as many people who own Enfield's without knowing how they work do, and it was parked, probably outside in a shed from what I can gather.  Too bad really.. the original tires are on it and are barely worn, though they are dry rotted from sitting.

This bike is a KICK start only - this is pre-electric start which was my preference.  I have a whole write-up on how to start these bikes, and they go on the first kick (This one will probably not since it hasn't run in a while).

The gas tank is really clean, no rust inside (I tried to take photos).  I have some spares that come with it, such as spark plugs, oil filter, etc.. minor stuff.  The battery is not very new but you can take it with the bike.  As you can see it has some weird seat on it, I have no idea where that came from, I was going to junk it but I left it on.

Anyway if you have any further questions please let me know.  I have keys and a CLEAR MICHIGAN TITLE in hand.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.
