    I am selling my 2009 KTM 250 SX-F.  I am the original owner of the bike and it has been adult owned and operated.  I purchased the bike because I wanted to get back into motocross and this bike suited my purpose perfectly.  The bike is in excellent physical and operational condition and has never been abused.  Oil changes after every 2 rides if not every ride with only Motorex Synthetic oil and KTM oil filter.  Air Filter, cleaned and replaced after every ride.  Although most would think that’s overkill, this is just how I choose to maintain the bike. I have upgraded quite a bit on the bike including handlebars, seat, pegs, chain, exhaust levers, suspension and much more.  But the best thing I did to the bike was upgraded the engine with the Athena 290cc Big Bore Kit.  The only thing I felt this bike lacked for me was a little lower torque to help with tight corners and really low speeds.  This bore kit completely changed the performance of the bike!!!  The perfect amount of low end torque and an amazing power band with torque and power.  Most of my other vet rider friends have 350s and when they try my bike they fall in love as it feels so light with the perfect setup with power and suspension.  The bike has been maintained consistently by MCC Motosports which is the best KTM Service Dealer in Illinois.

     For sale is a 2009 KTM 450 sxf.  It is a great bike for the woods or track.  The motor has been rebuilt with about two hours on it.  The bottom end, cases, crank, trans, pump, are all new.  They came from a bike that was parted out new off the show room floor.  The cylinder is replated by U.S. chrome.  stock piston. New stock valves.  New stock clutch.  Hinson clutch basket.  FMF slip on muffler.  JD jet kit.  The bike runs great.  I rode it in both woods and mx.  suspension has stock springs with race tech gold valves and factory connection res.  This bike was built by a professional motorcycle mechanic.  I love the bike.

One of these rules states: if someone offers to loan you a bike while you’re in town visiting, you say, “Yes, please.” And so it was that I found myself standing next to a KTM 250 Duke, calmly contemplating my odds of surviving SoCal freeways on a 30-horsepower (claimed, at the crank) bike.
