2001 Honda CBR 929rr Erion Racing edition - Less than 2000 miles. This bike was owned by a motorcycle collector. The bike was purchased brand-new in 2001 and stored professionally in a climate controlled Stuart facility for 15 years. Into thousand and eight the bike was upgraded with a ton of racing parts.  The collector had intended on starting an online motorcycle parts store. This bike was used as the show bike to do all the product photography. It was only ridden on a limited basis. This bike is completely flawless. It is in brand-new showroom condition. No scratches or blemishes anywhere on the bike.  This is a motorcycle for a serious sport bike enthusiast.

The bike comes with a box of original stock parts and a file folder with receipts for the majority of the parts purchased. The cost for the upgrades totals over $7000. Some of the known upgrades include:

Simoncelli Funeral Services Held in Italy

Fans, friends, family members and prominent figures from the world of sports attended the funeral services for Marco Simoncelli at the Santa Maria Assunta church in Coriano on Thursday, October 27th. The casket was carried into the Assunta church by friends and members of the Gresini team, and at 3pm the services commenced. Flanking the casket  was Simoncelli’s 2008 250cc World Championship Gilera bike on one side, and his MotoGP Honda RC212V on the other. Also in attendance was FIM president Vito Ippolito and CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
