Please read the entire listing before you bid and read the terms below. NO EXCEPTIONS.

For those of you not familiar with the crazy Derek Specials, i've been doing this for years and a lot of people absolutely love it. All the crazy Derek Specials start at $1 and never have a reserve. I lose on some and win on some. These are always sold as is and I will describe them the best I can. Along with my own evaluation, I also have a mechanic go over the vehicles. Not every scratch and dent can be noted, so please bare with me. I post Motorcycles, ATV's, PWC's, Scooters and snowmobiles. As always, good luck bidding!

This Crazy Derek Special is a 1982 Honda CB450 Nighthawk(CB450SC). This bike fires right up and runs great! Great throttle response and the engine seems very smooth. The body is in good shape and has been repainted and appears to have been done professionally. There is an aftermarket headlight installed. I do have the stock Headlight, Front Fender and Honda Emblem as shown in the pictures. The tires will need to be replaced in the near future but have enough tread to finish out this riding season. Also looks like there was some stitching repairs done to the seat. Overall this is a great running bike in great shape.

Good Luck Bidding!

2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements.  According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.

EICMA 2011: Honda NC700X Unveiled

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Alongside the Honda NC700S at EICMA comes the NC700X, a “crossover” model with better off-road capability. Like the NC700S, the 2012 Honda NC700X is powered by Honda’s new 670cc parallel Twin engine. Honda designed the engine to be highly efficient, with optimal performance at speeds up to 87 mph and the engine revving up to 6000 rpm, a range Honda’s research found accounts for 90% of an average commuter’s uses.
