1975 Honda Cb on 2040-motos
Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
I found this 1975 Honda CB360 in an old out of commission dairy farm. Was missing a number of things including exhaust, headlight bucket, etc. It was close to going to the scrap yard. Took it to the shop, we stripped it down completely and started rebuilding. This is the stunning result that makes cars stop in the road to ask about it. Yes, I've been riding it and it rides like a beast. Very smooth to operate with mean power. This bike grabs everyone's attention and it usually ends with the person gazing at it longingly and finally saying "that is just a beautiful bike."
We were going for a balance of the vintage original with modern touches. Everything has been gone through but I will list some things here: -Tomaselli grips -Modern brake and clutch levers -New chain and sprockets -Carbs rebuilt and jetted to the T -Perforated metal woven into the frame -New cafe seat -New drag bars -New neck and wheel bearings -Powder coated wheels -Blasted and painted frame -Custom exhaust -New IRC tires -CB400F shocks -New brake lines and brakes Basically, we've gone through everything on this bike. Ready to enjoy. Both electric and kickstart work beautiful. Starts easily first try This bike has it's own unique growl and howl and is a blast to ride. Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
Honda Fury Videos
Tue, 13 Jan 2009Here is a shot of the Fury from the official unveiling at Honda HQ last month, finally we can now show it to you! Click here to read the full article. While the Honda Fury won’t be officially unveiled until this coming weekend at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in NYC, Honda has been doing some underground marketing to get the word out by releasing videos to the public.
McGuinness Tests Mugen Shinden Electric Race Bike
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Isle of Man TT veteran John McGuinness recently got a chance to test the new Mugen Shinden electric rice bike to prepare for the 2012 TT Zero. The test took place at the Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, a world-class racing circuit but perhaps not-coincidentally, a track built and owned by Honda, further fueling the belief the Mugen effort is a front for the Japanese manufacturer. The Honda-contracted McGuinness put the Shinden through its first big test, helping the Mugen team gather data on the electric racer.
