Honda CB description

Here I have my iconic 1972 Honda CB750 K2 with a lot of really nice customizations. I am the second owner

This CB fires up easy and has a strong motor, I've put a few miles on it and it has a ton of kick to it,  I had my mechanic clean the tank, clean the carbs and put a strong set of plugs in it and rode it home. Turns heads every time I ride it. It's a real riders CB750 with close attention paid to the reliability and workability of the drive train.

It may be 44 years old but it's a solid bike and reliable if you know how to maintain them.

The bike has been seldom riden over the past 20 years and kept in a garage covered in blankets.

It has 35k miles on the dash but very low miles on a Henry Abe 900cc big bore kit making it an 888cc motor with Dyna gray coils and a Dyna electronic ignition system. Original keihin carburetors and original air box and a really nice Kerker 4 2 1 exhaust with aluminum mounting bracket.

The bike was rebuilt from the ground up by the original owner to be a show bike.

It has:
A Custom paint job of Red, blue, and silver
Chromed engine covers
Chromed dash cover
Stainless steel Akront wheels front and back (made in Spain)
Matching Dunlop street tires front and back
Polished brake caliper
Drilled front rotor
Chromed lower forks
Custom front fender
Custom headlight mounts
Chromed horn cover
Aftermarket rear tail light
Heavy duty chain and rear sprocket

When the bike was built the entire frame was powder coated gloss black and is  in great shape. It had a portion of the frame under the  tank customized with bolt on flanges to be removed if ever the engine needed to be pulled.

The bike is nice but it is not perfect. I have pictured the spots on the tank where some race fuel got under the clear coat and peeled it back around the gas cap and some down the side of the tank(pictured) It will need to be wet sanded and re cleared. The chrome on the valve cover has some light pitting as well as the primary cover (pictured) All the chrome is very shiny on the bike. The bike is wired up for blinkers and has mounts but I never put any on it.

This bike is ready to ride anywhere. It can cruise at highway speeds easily and handles like a CB should.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will tell you everything I known about my CB

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Ducati continues to develop its Desmosedici GP12 MotoGP race bike, setting modest goals while trying to establish a good setup. Already trailing the other factory teams in development time for its race prototypes, Ducati continued to try to find good base settings for the GP12. Valentino Rossi achieved the team’s goal of lapping under two minutes and two seconds with a time of 2:01.886 while completing 44 laps on the second day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.
