Takeo Fukui’s speech this week was a bit on the gloomy side as the company adjusted its profit forecast by 67% in the wrong direction. Slumping auto sales and a sagging U.S. dollar were the main factors for Honda’s third profit forecast cut this year.

Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another

After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
