Honda CL description

Great low mile vintage Honda with modern brakes/wheels/front fork from a CBR600 Hurricane

2-1 high pipe scrambler exhaust

Carbs ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt with fresh gaskets, jets, etc.

Mid-rear sets to give a comfortable riding position with the CBR600 clip-ons

Electric start-- bike starts right up

All lights and signals work as they should

New sealed maintenance free battery

Valves checked and gapped

New flasher relay

The bike has a nice weathered look from age (which just adds to its character,) but this is not a project bike, it is mechanically solid. Everything is set and good to go, ready to ride.

Bike is for sale locally.  As such, I reserve the right to cancel any bids should the bike sell locally.

More than happy to help with shipping the bike, but arrangement of shipping, liability for any damages in shipping, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the buyer.  Further, before being released to the shipper, the bike must be paid for in full and in the case of cashiers check/money order/ etc, the deposit must clear at my bank.

Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

McGuinness Tests Mugen Shinden Electric Race Bike

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Isle of Man TT veteran John McGuinness recently got a chance to test the new Mugen Shinden electric rice bike to prepare for the 2012 TT Zero. The test took place at the Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, a world-class racing circuit but perhaps not-coincidentally, a track built and owned by Honda, further fueling the belief the Mugen effort is a front for the Japanese manufacturer. The Honda-contracted McGuinness put the Shinden through its first big test, helping the Mugen team gather data on the electric racer.

2010 Honda Fury: New Honda Chopper Motorcycle?

Sun, 30 Nov 2008

UPDATE (May 19): Official 2010 Honda Fury Pricing UPDATE (Feb 27): The Honda Fury Review is finally here!!! Some may baulk at Honda’s description of the Fury as “radical.” Sure it’s not mind-blowing in the way a $60K custom can be, but it’s worth noting that not even Harley-Davidson has produced a bike with a rake angle so stretched or a wheelbase as long. So let’s admit that, for the normally staid Honda, the Fury is radical.

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
