Harley-Davidson Touring description

For sale is my absolutely gorgeous 2007 Harley Davidson Road King Classic in VERY RARE CUSTOM FACTORY PAINT called "JAKE AND ELWOOD BLUES" with PROPER PURPLE AND BLUE PINSTRIPING with HARLEY DAVIDSON LOGO IN CUSTOM GOLD LEAF LETTERING. This color was LIMITED to a 3 month run to introduce the new 2007 touring lineup. I have NEVER seen another RKC in this paint scheme. I constantly get compliments and questions on the unique 2 tone blue color scheme, as it is very beautiful and must be seen in person to appreciate. Why blend in with all the other Vivid Black Harleys at your local cruise night when you can really stand out and draw attention with this unique custom color?

The bike is powered by Harley's dependable 96 CI, 1584 CC, V-Twin engine and is paired with a SIX SPEED transmission. The bike has been garaged and under a cover and on a battery tender since new, with all mechanical work performed by a 20 year certified HD technician. The odometer just turned 20k miles, which is just under 3k miles a year.

The bike has thousands of dollars in genuine HD chrome and accessories that I will try to summarize below, however I am sure I will omit many small items.  Please feel free to come and see this absolutely stunningly beautiful machine in person, as you cannot appreciate it fully from the attached photos.

Major add-ons include almost new Dunlop touring white wall tires (approx 2k miles), smooth chrome contour rims with chrome spokes, Vance and Hines Oval slip-on mufflers for a deep rich sound without being overly loud, chrome front legs, chrome reduced reach handlebars from the Fat Book for a very comfortable seating position, all chrome brake and clutch levers, HD Sundowner touring seat in RKC style, original RKC seat, stainless steel braided cables, gas shock adjustable rider backrest, 4 point docking hardware, chrome luggage rack, sissy bar with passenger backrest, E-Z UP center stand (the best center stand on the market), full size RKC windshield (some light scratches) with leather storage pouch, Mini Beast 128 decibel Air Horn, saddlebag luggage inserts, soft lowers for winter riding protection, battery tender pigtail, handlebar clock, beautiful calfskin leather grip covers with fringe from Chilhowee Custom Leather (made by the Cherokee Indians in Southern Oregon) absolutely soft and beautiful, and more!!!

The bike is absolutely dripping in CHROME, CHROME, CHROME, (mostly genuine HD and a few Kuryaken pieces) including the following :
-all switches and switch covers
-light visors all around, front and rear (Willie G. skull theme)
-rider and passenger foot board inserts (Willie G. skull)
-engine covers including inner primary, transmission, tappet covers, cylinder base covers, shift linkage cover, and more
-front and rear fender rails with decorative tips
-front fender decorative HD logo spear
-saddlebag guard rails
-front fork wind deflector
-license plate bracket
-axle nut covers
-master cylinder and cover
-front fender skirt (Willie G. skull)
-shifter pegs (Willie G. skull)
-brake pedal (Willie G. skull)
-brake caliper bolt covers

The only reason I am selling this beautiful bike is that I recently purchased a new Harley and the Road King is just sitting in the garage.  This bike is too nice too be sitting in a garage unused.  I absolutely love this bike but now spend more time polishing it than actually riding it, so it's time to let her go!!!

Mechanically, she runs great and the transmission shifts perfectly. All routine maintenance is up to date, and I have some extra parts that I will include with the sale including bike cover, battery tender, new HD brake pads front and rear, and a few other items as well.

I guarantee if you come and see this bike you will fall in love with it, she is a real head turner. People often admire her and ask "is that a brand new Harley Davidson?"  They are shocked when I tell them she is 7 years old.  The chrome rims and chrome spoke wheels, white wall tires, and leather saddlebags give her a real retro look that you just can't get in a new bike.  Please come take a look and judge for yourself!!!

My price is very fair and firm, and my auction reserve is well below my Buy It Now price, but I would be a bit negotiable to the right buyer, as I really want the bike to go to someone who will appreciate its beauty as much as I have. Keep in mind that a Road King Classic in this paint scheme and this condition has become nearly impossible to find. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking!!!

My name is Tom and my cell phone is 917-923-9381.  Please feel free to call anytime to discuss the bike further or to set up an appointment to come see it in person, you will be glad you did!!!

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

A custom Harley-Davidson Street 750

Thu, 29 Jan 2015

This amazing motorcycle was built in just four weeks in a workshop located 300 kilometers south of Harley-Davidson's Indian factory. The project came to life thanks to the efforts of Rajputana Customs and H.-D., which provided Street 750 as a donor. The first upgrade to the bike was a Suzuki GSX-R sport fork with stiffer springs and longer travel.
