Harley-Davidson Touring description

You are bidding on a 2005 Harley Davidson Electraglide classic.   The bike runs great. Looks pretty good.   There are a few scratches and maybe chips.  The Chrome is all good light scratching but from 5 feet all looks great.  I have been riding it back and forth to work every day for the last 3 years.  There is nothing Mechanically wrong with it as far as I know (I used to be a mechanic).  The ENGINE is a TC88 Stock and it has a 5 speed transmission.

Only item to note: the Detachable Tour Pack (Trunk) has 2 cracks in the fiberglass after I took it to Sturgis a few years back.

Upgrades:

  • Adjustable riders back rest.
  • Street glide seet
  • 12" Beefy Apes 1 1/4" (pulled back for comfort when riding on the highway)
  • Streetglide Rear turn signals
  • HogTunes Amp and speakers
  • There are also a few extra HD Chrome pieces (HD Scull Brake Pedel, Marker light covers, ect)
  • Detachable kit for the Tour Pack (takes about 30 seconds to install and remove)
  • Screaming Eagle Exhaust Slip ons.
  • Highway pegs
  • Lower fairings
  • New Rear Tire, Front has 2-3k
  • Brakes only have a 2-3k as well (Changed all brakes when I did the front tire.
  • I have changed the oil every 5k  (this bike is ready to ride to Sturgis)

Note: this model was not equipped with cruse control or ABS.

It has been a great bike. I am only selling the bike because I will not be able to ride for the next 6 mo due to medical issues.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.

Elvis' Harley

Thu, 16 Aug 2012

Today (August 16) it's exactly 35 years since Elvis died (or didn't, depending on your beliefs on the matter) so we thought we'd mark the moment with this – Elvis Presley's own 1956 Harley-Davidson. Elvis is so inextricably linked to Harleys that he's even become subject of an endlessly-circulating internet myth. You know, the one where a guy finds an old Harley for a few bucks, starts to restore it and discovers an 'Elvis' inscription under the seat.
