Ducati 900 Super Sport Bevel Drive description

Up for auction is one of the sexiest motorcycles ever made, the bevel drive 900SS, she is an 82, the last year produced.  This motorcycle has only 9500 miles. This is a very low use piece in remarkable shape.  She is a works of art, gorgeous to look at and an excellent investment. This bike is in extremely nice original condition. The exhaust head pipe is still cabled and sealed, this is shown in one picture.

This motorcycle is part of my collection of european motorcycles. It has been in storage in a temperature controlled showroom in my home for 16 years.

She have a gorgeous original patina, original paint as far as i can tell,  the chrome is in fine condition,The pictures speak for themselves. The fairing has paint damage on the lower left side and the Left side muffler has a dent on the top.  These flaws are visible and identified in the pictures.

She comes with the correct original dual seat that the 81-82 models came with. The original turn signals are in superb condition.  The carbs were rebuilt by Syds in Florida prior to storage. The Bar end mirrors are not in good shape the glass is fine but one mirror will not hold its position The motorcycle is 34 years old so it have a few minor scratches-chips on the painted surfaces.

I can be reached at 410 978 1536 for additional information.

She is sold as is with no warranty and return.

She can be seen in Baltimore Maryland. The motorcycle comes with a clear Maryland title in my name.

Payment of $500 through Pay Pal with in 24 hour and the balance in 3 days by cash, casher check, wire transfer, the motorcycle will not be released until all funds are clear.

Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping, I'm willing to store the bike for a short time.

9 Handy Guides to Motorcycle Road Racing

Thu, 06 Aug 2009

There’s a great series running on Motorcycle.com all about getting you and your motorcycle ready for road racing.  If you are interested at all getting out on the track to be just like those MotoGP racers, you have some very interesting reading ahead of you. The series is very extensive, it starts off with just you and your motorcycle and proceeds all the way to what you should expect, learn, know and bring to the track.  Any expenses made are highlighted in each article so you can get an idea just how much it will cost to get you on your way with this addiction.  The author, Jeremiah Knupp, took his 2000 Ducati 748 along on this journey. Here’s 9 handy guides to help you start motorcycle road racing: Introduction: Leaving the lawn chair Geoff May: one man show to AMA pro – Pointers and Interview with Pro Geoff May Prepping your bike for track school Cleared for Take-Off: Getting Your Race License Building a Supersport racer – the minimum Building a Supersport racer – the priorities Advanced Supersport modifications Building a Supersport Racer – Stage III, the Finishing Touches Preparing for your first race weekend Even if you don’t plan on ever getting into road racing, I found the articles to be quite fascinating as to how Jeremiah Knupp (the author) got prepared for his new hobby.
