Buell Lightning description

1998 Buell S1 Lightning. Bought new in 1999 and owned by my family the whole time. A Buell is a sportbike with a stroked out 1203 cc Harley Davidson engine. Dunlop sportmax 2 tires, EBC brake pads, K&N air filter, Vance and Hines exhaust, Barnett easy pull cluth cable, Corbin leather seat (retaining tab broken needs fixed). My son...had a slow speed corner crash on it. I have replaced the damaged parts. New airbox cover, new carbon fiber wind screen, new head light, new turn signals. The carbs need cleaned. It will need repainted and has the well known documented air bubble issue on the fuel tank. This is fixed by painting it with the correct # PPG paint. I can give you that information. Has minor tail bodywork damage that would be fixed with the paint job anyways. The bike is in fine running order just needs a little TLC. Kelly blue book lists at $2700. I'm asking a grand less to move it before winter and for you to have it repainted and put few hundred into it to make it yours. Selling it because as I am getting older (cough cough) I have updated to a cruiser. Buy it, love it...it will soon be a vintage classic bike. Located in Sturgis Mi. 49091. Pick up only.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.

2015 Hero Hastur 620cc Streetfighter Concept Revealed – Video

Hero Motocorp has revealed a new 620cc streetfighter concept called the Hastur at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in Greater Noida, near New Delhi. The Hero Hastur concept was developed with the help of Erik Buell Racing which provided its expertise in working with larger engines than Hero’s usual small-displacement motorcycles. The Hastur is powered by a parallel twin 620cc engine claiming 78.9 hp at 8000 rpm and 53.1 ft-lb.

Aaron Yates Joins Geoff May on Team Hero EBR WSBK Team

Aaron Yates is joining Geoff May in making the jump to the World Superbike Championship with Erik Buell Racing. The two Americans will ride the Team Hero EBR 1190RX for the bike’s debut season of international racing. Yates and May finished 8-9 in the 2013 AMA Superbike Championship for Team Hero EBR, with Yates edging out his teammate by a single point.
