2004 BMW R Series GS, I am the original owner since fall 2003. Just bought a new R1200RT and won't have room for two bikes.Complete maintenance records. Always garaged. Most recent major service done at Bob's BMW. Synthetic oils since 6K. Extras include: Heated Gripes, ABS, Motolights, HyperLites in back, Oil Filler Plug, Magnetic Drain Plug, BMW GPS (Garmin Street Pilot III) and numerous Wunderlich upgrades including: Ergo Windscreen and Leg Protectors (great for colder weather riding), Oil Cooler Guard, Brake Lever Enlarger and Blue Air Filter. British Moto-Journalist Kevin Ash Dies at 2013 BMW R1200GS Press Launch

(Updated with a message written by Kevin Ash’s oldest daughter, posted on the header of his blog AshOnBikes.) Respected British motorcycle journalist Kevin Ash has died following an accident at a BMW press launch in South Africa for the R1200GS. Ash was a long-time columnist at the U.K.’s MCN as well as the founder of British magazine Fast Bikes. Ash was also a popular freelancer, most notably as the regular motorcycle correspondent for the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph.

EICMA 2012: Bimota BB2 Concept Revealed with BMW S1000RR Engine

Bimota revealed a new concept sportbike at the 2012 EICMA Show equipped with a BMW S1000RR engine. The Bimota BB2 concept is the first product of a new partnership signed with BMW that would see the German manufacturer supply S1000RR engines for Bimota. The S1000RR engine has class-leading numbers, with the 172.4 hp we measured in our 2012 European Literbike Shootout a 10.4 hp advantage over any literbike we dyno’ed for that shootout or the Japanese Literbike Shootout.

Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released

The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.
