Schwantz School, the ultimate track experience?

Mon, 22 Aug 2011

If having one-to-one instruction from an ex-MotoGP World Champion is your dream, then why not put the Schwantz School on your Christmas list for 2012.

Ok, it’s in America and slightly more expensive than your average track day ($2750 for two days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) but many satisfied customers will argue this is the best rider training experience in the world.

Your hard earned Dollar will see you alternate between the classroom and track from 8am until 4pm, then Kevin will take you on a track tour where he explains riding techniques and answers questions (he even drives the bus). At 6pm you will then enjoy a full on Texan BBQ cooked by none other than Mom and Pop Schwantz, Jim and Shirley.

On day two, the format continues building into more advanced riding and classroom tuition with Kev and his team of top instructors giving you their full attention. The school closes late afternoon with a very upbeat pupil awards presentation, where all kinds of prizes and Schwantz memorabilia is handed out.

The Schwantz School is now supported by both Honda and Suzuki so pupils can swap between CBR600s, GSX-R600s and even try out Moriwaki Honda 250cc Moto3 racers. The school travels around the U.S. and has pupils aged from eleven to seventy. For dates, prices and information check out schwantzschool.com
