Yamaha YZF-R description

2006 Yamaha R1 Limited Edition, brand new, 0.0 miles (yes, zero miles!). They only made 500 of these in this configuration. This is number 323 of 500 total. Collectors dream/extremely rare!

I'm betting there are less than 10 worldwide with 0.0 miles, and this might be the ONLY one!

It is badged and numbered on the bike. The LE came with some upgrades as:   the gold marchesini wheels, longer swingarm, slipper clutch, ecu race tune, ohlins racing suspension and brembo brake components. This bike has been babied and garage kept. This bike was originally $18,000 new, plus freight, dealer fees etc.

This is being sold as a collector's item, since it is new and has zero miles. Obviously no test rides, but once it is yours, you are free to do with it as you please. This will only go up in value as you keep it new though. I like to ride my toys, so I am selling it. I've got a 2000 R1 that is my daily rider.

Original owners manuals are also included in the sale.

Here is a video walk around of the bike. (Copy and paste in browser if the link doesn't work.)

The bike does have oil in it, but as far as I can tell, it's never even been started.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping responsibilities. $500 PayPal deposit due at the end of the auction. Full payment due within 10 days of auction end. We can work out payment after the auction, but prefer cash in hand or you can deposit directly into my Wells Fargo account. Trades may be considered and I reserve the right to end the auction early, since the bike is for sale locally.

3 minor blemishes are pointed out in pictures and video walk around.

Yamaha Files Trademark Application for FJ-09

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Yamaha‘s next three-cylinder motorcycle may be a sport-tourer, if a recently-filed trademark application is any indication. The Tuning Fork brand filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name “FJ-09” as it applies to “Motorcycles, scooters, three-wheeled scooters and structural parts for all the aforesaid goods.” Following Yamaha’s usual naming conventions, the signs indicate the trademark will be for a new sport-touring model using the same Triple as the FZ-09. Yamaha has made it clear it plans to introduce more three-cylinder engines following the FZ-09 (or MT-09, as it is known in Europe.) Previously-filed trademark applications for the YZF-R3 and R3 names raised speculation the next triple would be a sportbike, but as per Yamaha’s usual naming convention, the “3″ in R3 is likelier to refer to the engine displacement rather than the number of cylinders.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Yamaha MT-07 And MT-09 Street Rally

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Yamaha teased us with the “Rise Up Your Darkness” campaign, first introducing the FZ-09 (called the MT-09 in Europe) and its three-cylinder engine packaged in a naked frame. Now Yamaha has introduced the next motorcycle in the Darkness collection, the MT-07, effectively the MT/FZ-09′s little brother. Designed to “bring fun, affordability and enjoyment back to the street,” the MT-07 is powered by a brand new, 689cc parallel-Twin with 270-degree crank incorporating Yamaha’s “crossplane philosophy” of developing linear torque for smoother power application.

Tommy Hayden to Race 2012 Daytona 200 for Graves Yamaha – Video

Fri, 16 Mar 2012

Tommy Hayden has signed on to race in the 2012 Daytona 200 for the Graves Yamaha team as an replacement for injured rider Garrett Gerloff. Gerloff broke his right femur in the first Daytona Sportbike class practice session for the Daytona 200, leaving Yamaha little time to find a replacement. Hayden had raced for Yamaha before, and those old ties reconnected quickly in time for the season opening race.
