 Up for sale is my very clean, numbers matching 1965 Yamaha YM1 305- bike is an older restoration with low hours on a top end rebuild - bike starts easily and runs very well with no exhaust leaks or drips, shifts smoothly thru all gears with no clutch slippage and is setup for premix only but will come with original oil pump and lines- gas tank is very clean inside and all gauges/switches work freely- bike has a new chain with new sprockets and like new tires- bike comes with a clear title -buyer responsible for shipping but will assist in prepping/loading-

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Valentino Rossi is back on the podium. Not a MotoGP podium, mind, but for a rally car race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. (Post updated with video.) Driving a Ford Fiesta RS with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won two of nine stages and finished second overall to eight-time World Rally Car Champion Sebastien Loeb at the 2011 Monza Rally Show.
