Attention vintage motorcycle collectors,here is a 1978 YAMAHA XT 500 Enduro with only 5,005 actual miles! bike runs and drives,one owner bike,kick only and if you don't kick start it correct it will kick back at you,brakes work good,tranny shifts threw all the gears good,tank is clean inside,clutch lever pulls in a little hard,rear tire is like new,numbers match 1E6220570,sometimes the float sticks and leaks gas the carb could use a cleaning,i have a clear title,selling as is although I don't see any major repairs that the bike will need,might be a nut or bolt missing here and there and or other everything I have for the bike is in the pictures,buyer will have to pay for shipping and locate there own shipper if one is needed I'm not sure there prices usually uship.com,i can store the bike for one week after the auction ends no longer,i am located in Minnesota and the zip code is 55025,auction may end early because I might sell the bike before the auction ends,paypal accepted as payment if your not local,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding I'm always looking to buy old and or unwanted Motorcycles and Dirt bikes.

Yamaha Reports 2011 Results

Yamaha Motor Corp/ reported a net profit of 27 billion yen (US$345 million) in 2011, compared to a profit of 18.3 billion yen (US$243 million) year before. Overall net sales were down 1.4% to 1.28 billion yen (US$16.3 billion), but operating income rose 4.1% to 53.4 billion yen (US$682 million). The increase in operating income came despite the negative impact of last March’s earthquake in Japan and flooding in Thailand.

Dean Benstead's air-powered bike project, O2 Pursuit, which we spoke about a year ago, seems to have come along nicely since. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.

EICMA 2013: Yamaha Reveals the Tricity

Today, at the EICMA 2013 show, Yamaha unveiled what it is calling a new direction in its urban commuter category. The Tricity is a LMW (Leaning Multi Wheel) scooter aimed at folks who previously may not have considered a two-wheeled alternatives to public transportation.
