Yamaha WR tech info
Yamaha WR description
Plated 2005 Yamaha WR450F ready for the road or trail. Bike is titled & licensed in New Mexico. I have had the bike for 6 months, and only ridden it about 200 miles. This tired-assed 61 year old much prefers the WR250R I got after purchasing this gem.
Aside form the obvious street legal issues being addressed (including horn, mirror, & brake lights), this bike is nicely appointed with aftermarket goodies such as: Dirtracks rack, Clarke tank, skid plate, bar risers, bark busters, ICO instrumentation, FMF Power Core 4 with Q4 Quiet Core Spark Arrestor. This bike has upgraded suspension at both ends with valving from EBR Performance, and Race Tech springs. It is ideally suited for 200+lb. rider. Tires are Dunlop Geomax MX51 out back, and D952F on front. Bike comes with all OEM take-off parts, including stock muffler, odometer & cable, suspension springs, skid plates, & plastic including stock gas tank. Spares include new Twin Air filter, oil filter, brake pads, factory Yamaha shop manual & ICO user's manual. This is a great bike, used very little, never abused. Motor has always run Amzoil. Color may be a bitt off in some pics, but I blame the jicky camera! Clean NM title & current reg., bike is ride-ready right now! More photos available on request. Transportation of sold bike is responsibility of winning bidder. A $500 deposit is due via Paypal at end of auction unless previous arrangement is approved. Bike is also for sale locally, auction may subject to local sale. Good luck and thanks for looking! |

This Is What Comes Before The Yamaha PW50
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Kids really do have it good these days. Case in point is this super stylish motocross-themed push bicycle found in the Yamaha Europe catalog. Parents out there are probably well aware of these bikes without pedals, but as someone without kids this is a new discovery for me.
Yamalube Motor Oil Video is Educational, British, and Brainwashing
Tue, 16 Jun 2009Yamaha Motor Europe have just posted a new video up on Youtube about their Yamalube motor oil and why you should use it on your Yamaha products. They are pretty damn convincing or very good at brainwashing! The video is pretty educational, explaining how motorcycle engines and car engines are very different, what a motorcycle engine really needs, and why Yamalube is very well suited for the job. Various graphs, charts, shots of scientists making oil, and the accented British narrator have further convinced me that I need to get Yamalube and perhaps even be adding it into my morning bowl of cereal.
Riding in groups
Mon, 19 Apr 2010Saturday morning was a stonker wasn’t it? A group of us ranging from neighbours, brothers, mates and girlfriends got up and headed down to the coast for a spot of bacon and eggs. We had a real diverse selection or bikes actually with a GSX1400, XJR1300, Triumph Speedmaster, MT01, A Yamaha R1 and my Triumph Speed Triple.
