Live from the launch of the Yamaha FZ8

THAT, MY FRIENDS, is our test rider's transportation to the 2010 Yamaha FZ8 launch in Marseille. Today, Jon Urry will endure 700 miles in a bazzed-up Ford Transit with other UK bike journalists, thanks to the infamous cloud of volcanic ash that's turning our skies a worrying shade of crystal-clear blue. Yamaha will give a third wheel to its scooter

The Japanese did not have enough unusual Niken bikes so they patented the design of a new 3-wheeler scooter. The device will probably be called the Tricity 300 and will presumably be powered by a 292cc engine from the 28hp XMax 300 maxi-scooter. We're looking forward to the debut of the production version at the end of the year at EICMA.

2011 Yamaha Vino Classic Recalled for Drum Brake Issue

Yamaha is recalling 2011 Vino Classic scooters because of a problem with its brakes. More specifically, the brake shoe linings may separate from the shoe due to a lack of proper adhesion, reducing brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash. The problem can affect both the front and rear drum brakes.
