At the heart of this beauty lies a 1199 cc, liquid cooled, 2 cylinder engine that develops a maximum output of 80.9 kW (110PS) at 7,250 rpm and 114.1 Nm (11.6 kg-m) of torque at 6,000 rpm.The Super Tnr is equipped with Yamahas Chip-Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) technology with 3-stage traction control that can be turned off if wanted. You also get switchable Yamaha D-MODE engine mapping.The motorcycle rides on spoked, tubeless aluminium rims wrapped in imposing 110/80R19M/C 59V front and 150/70R17M/C 69V rear tires.

The Japanese oddity to naming teams
Wed, 28 Jul 2010Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Tue, 24 Nov 2009NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.
