Mon, 03 Oct 2011Chaz Davies has captured the 2011 Supersport World Championship, completing a triumphant return to the series for Yamaha. Davies, the 2008 Daytona 200 winner, finished the Magny-Cours round in sixth place, giving him an insurmountable 35-point lead over Hannspree Ten Kate Honda‘s Fabien Foret with one race remaining. The championship comes in Yamaha‘s return from a one-year absence from the series.

Thu, 03 Apr 2014Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. 2014 Yamaha YZF-R125 Announced for Europe
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Yamaha has updated its YZF-R125 for the European market, refreshing one of the top-selling 125cc sportbikes on the continent. For 2014, the new R125 receives an upside-down fork, revised fuel-injection system, front air-intake and an R6-inspired fairing design. The engine remains unchanged from the previous version, with a single-cylinder displacing 124.7cc.
