MAKE AN OFFER, least i can do is say no...Looking to possibly sale this bobbed out 2004 yamaha vstar 1100. There is alot of man hours in this bike with 1 off exhaust and the rear fender and seat. Has a set of pro taper metal mulisha dirt bike bars on it. Also the rear fender was built to ride a passenger. I just rode the bike on an eight hour round trip and had no issues at all. I work on the bike daily and am always putting money into it. Just seeing whats out there and definitely dont have to get rid off it. Yamaha XTW250 RYOKU Concept – the SUV Motorcycle
Wed, 16 Nov 2011Yamaha is debuting a new heavy-duty utility motorcycle concept at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Described as the “SUV motorcycle”, the Yamaha XTW250 RYOKU was designed to carry heavy loads for both on and off the road. The concept’s name suggests it may share elements of Yamaha’s XT250 and TW200 dual sports.
Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Announces 2013 Induction Class
Wed, 27 Feb 2013The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame announced it will induct five new members for 2013. The Hall also announced it will add one new member to its Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame. For 2013, the Hall will welcome to its ranks motorcycle attorney Russ Brown, custom chopper builder Rick Fairless (pictured above), Harley-Davidson dealer Bill Gikling, actor Marjoe Gortner of the television special “Sturgis: The Great Ride”, and antique motorcycle expert Lonnie Isam, Sr.
Filling a void with an RD350LC
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Last winter I managed to fill a void in my life when I stumbled on a very reasonably priced Yamaha RD350LC. It was a tad scruffy, had the wrong exhausts but most importantly it was blue and white with all numbers matching. I had the usual euphoria when the deal was done but I underestimated how much pleasure this particular purchase would continue to deliver another eight months down the line. The difference with this old bike is, instead of just taking it for the occasional ride I was talked into doing a full nut and bolt restoration. Having never taking a bike apart completely before, initially it was quite daunting but I soon found the RD is easy to work on so it turned into a truly satisfying experience. I’ve had some help from LC enthusiasts with the rebuild, however, the stripping, sourcing and organising was a total labour of love. And call me sad but it has made me bond with this bike like no other which only adds to the feel good factor. The bike cost £1800 and I’ve spent around £1000 but I reckon my mint Elsie is now worth a fair bit more. I fancy rejuvenating a Fizzy next time but there’s lots of other cheap 70’s and 80’s winter projects out there so why not have a go yourself?
